Music in Marlow
Music returned to Christ Church on 12th September, after more than eighteen months. We've recently had a fantastic performance by the Brompton Quartet, scroll on down or click on 'Next Events' for details of the rest of the season.

Who we are
Music in Marlow is run on a voluntary basis by Martin and Jean Ashford, out of our love of music and our association with Christ Church URC, of which this is a project. Christ Church was built in 1840 and beautifully modernised in 2002-3.
We started our regular concert programme in 2012 and, by the end of 2019, had run 65 events.
What we do
We put on the kinds of music that we enjoy hearing! That includes instrumental recitals, chamber music, jazz, choral and occasionally other genres.
We bring professional musicians to the town but also provide a platform for young and amateur players. Suggestions welcome - and do get in touch if you would like to offer us a performance.
Proceeds from tickets may be used to pay the musicians, to cover the costs of publicity, and where shown to raise money for specified causes such as Christian Aid.
Any remaining profit is donated to the church, for the Music Fund or New Project Fund. We funded purchase of the church's 1901 Bechstein grand piano.
A great evening of foot-tapping songs and tunes beckons! Hoagy Carmichael was a one-man hit factory, so book now for this feast of his music.
More details soon of the recital by Fran Stafford on 27th Nov. Booking will open by late October.
