Music in Marlow
Who we are
MusicInMarlow has been run for over a decade on a voluntary basis as a project of Christ Church URC. Christ Church was built in 1840 and beautifully modernised in 2002-3. The chapel's superb acoustic makes it a perfect venue for smaller groups of performers.
We started our regular concert programme in 2012 and, by the summer of 2022, had run 75 events in all. It's been wonderful!

What we do
We put on the kinds of music that we enjoy hearing! That includes instrumental recitals, chamber music, jazz, choral and occasionally other genres.
We bring professional musicians to the town but also provide a platform for young and amateur players. Suggestions welcome - and do get in touch if you would like to offer us a performance.
About us

Your support
Proceeds from tickets may be used to pay the musicians, to cover the costs of publicity, and where shown to raise money for specified causes such as Christian Aid.
Any remaining profit is donated to the church, for the Music Fund or New Project Fund. We funded purchase of the church's 1901 Bechstein grand piano and contributed to the 2021 'Walk of Life' project in the garden.

Next events

Concerts no longer run as frequently as they did but we are continuing to hold occasional events. Details of two events for summer 2023 can be seen here.
